Module -Storytelling

The structure of the story

The simplest story structure consists of 3 acts:

beginning – middle – end

In the beginning the location is described and the characters introduced in their daily life situation. (Marked below with the respective icons.)

Rising action:
After this introduction, there follows an initiating event, something that sparks off the story and causes a first reaction by the hero. Now the dilemma starts: The problems occure, a series of complications and obstacles leading to crises which are temporarily resolved by the hero (quests, turning points, internal responses, attempts, reactions of the different characters involved) - a rising action that reaches at a certain point the climax. The climax can be something very dramatic, a kind of final showdown – the highest peak of tension.
